It seems as though we're heading into fall--yipee--and yet we're going to miss our warm, sunny days to be outside. Even though summer is fading away, fall is my favorite time of year. I'm looking forward to showing Sophie all of the new sights and sounds in our neighborhood that occur in the fall.
This week our mission is sitting. Sophie practices several times a day and I'm sure she'll be an expert before we all know it! I took her in for her 5 1/2 month "weigh in" yesterday--she was 12 lbs 13 oz. Always good to know she keeps creeping up the scale! Isn't it funny how we focus so much energy and worry on weight gain when we're young, and then WE spend the rest of our lives trying NOT to gain weight?
Our porch redo is almost complete--the concrete was poured last week and we should have our railings in next week or the following week. I will do a little before and after expose on the porch once all work is completed. But, I'll tell ya, we're pretty happy with the results so far!

Well, I've had lots of comments on this picture of you two - "she looks exactly like her mom," "she sure looks like her dad" - I guess she's just Sophie - but she sure is a cutie! That first picture, you can almost hear her talking...
